11 Senate democrats have sent a letter to biden asking for major steps to lower gas prices

11 senate democrats have sent a letter to biden demanding he immediately release oil from the United States Strategic Petroleum reserve, as well as implement a ban on exporting oil.

The letter was signed by Sens. Jack Reed, D-R.I., Robert Casey, D-Pa., Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., Margaret Hassan, D-N.H., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Edward Markey, D-Mass., Tina Smith, D-Minn., Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., and Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio.

The letter cites a more than $1 increase in gas prices in the matter of less than a year reaching the highest levels it has since 2014. The Democrats agreed with bidens speech at the UN climate change summit but said in the meantime Americans should be able to afford gas.

biden's build-back better plan is not working for the average American in the slightest. We have critical inflation in many fields and gas is a major contributor. With soaring prices, truck drivers are struggling to stay afloat, which leads to delays on goods creating more of a demand for goods. Every policy is leading towards the destruction of American households.
