Dr. Oz plans to run for the opening Senate seat Held by Republican Patrick J. Toomey

Doctor Mehmet Oz, who many know from his show called Dr. Oz, has decided to run for the Senate seat opening when Patrick J. Toomey retires.

He says with Fox News' Hannity:

"America is in crisis, that’s not news, our values are under attack – so I want to serve America in its time of need,"

"I’ve spent a lot of time trying to understand what went wrong and it’s emblematic of other issues we are struggling with in our great country. Remember the phrase two weeks to flatten the curve? That metastasized into this terrible authoritarianism and overreaching that did not make us safer,"

"People with big yards told people with no yards to stay indoors because that’s where the virus was. Some closed the parks, shamed people about beaches -- and now threatening the same overreach with the Omicron [variant] …."

"Every choice I make will be serving the citizens of Pennsylvania and the United States and none of them will serve the special interests in Washington, many of which I have been at war at my entire career."
