On Thursday morning, Governor Desantis had taken a trip to Brandon, Florida to sign bills that had been passed on Wednesday.
One of the bills places fines on employers with vaccination mandates unless they offer numerous exemptions, including health and religious exemptions. Another bill bans schools from requiring masks or vaccinations to attend. Two measures that have been called for by conservatives.
Florida Surgeon general had this to say about the bills signed by Desantis, "It completely pushes back against this belief that some of our leadership put forward that you don't control your body, that your body belongs to Dr. Fauci," Allowing people to make choices about their body is one of the main talking points the left and the right can somewhat agree on.
