Hoax hate-attack trial for Jussie Smollett started Monday, 3 years after planning attack on himself

3 years after Jussie Smollett had lied about being attacked by 2 white individuals who were wearing #makeamericagreatagain hats. He now stands trial for lying to the police as well as felony disorderly conduct.

His charges carry a sentence of 3 years in prison but according to some pundits it is likely he will be sentenced to probation and possibly community service.

He will likely get a slap on the wrist for trying to make a group of people seem as if they would want to attack this Individual for the color of his skin or for the opinion he expresses.

He had them pour bleach in his face and tie a loose rope from their local shop around his neck which he kept on while police and reporters were interviewing him. This led many to speculate whether the attack had ever happened at all.

The trial depends on the prosecution's key witnesses, the brothers who had worked on the show 'Empire' with Smollett, who both said that he had given them $3,500 to attack him.
