Trial for Ghislaine Maxwell in sex-trafficking case has started

Jury Selection was finalized and opening statements have begun in the child sex trafficking case against Ghislaine Maxwell.

The defense has made the claim that Ghislaine is a scapegoat for all of Jeffrey's bad behavior. They pointed out that he was a convicted pedophile when he ‘committed suicide.’ They have also likened him to the 21st century James Bond, also referring to him paying off former victims.

On July 2, 2020, the United States Attorney’s Office announced the unsealing of federal felony charges against GHISLAINE MAXWELL on charges of enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sex acts, transportation of a minor to engage in illegal sex acts, conspiracy, and perjury. These crimes are alleged to have occurred in locations including, but not limited to, New York, Florida, New Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
