Jack Dorsey who has been the CEO of Twitter since October 5th, 2015, has resigned his position saying “I’ve decided to leave Twitter because I believe the company is ready to move on from its founders,” he has made current CTO Parag Agrawal as the new CEO of the company.
Agrawal has been with Twitter for the past 10 years, working in artificial intelligence, machine learning and he led company projects to make content in user's feeds to be more relevant to them.
He was also the one to hire the lead of project Bluesky, which made it easier for Twitter to restrict comments. Parag worked at internships at AT&T, yahoo, and Microsoft before becoming an employee at Twitter.
This also comes after board members had called for him to resign at the beginning of the year.
